  • Genesis confirms Electrified GV70 SUV will make its European debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed
  • Stunning X Speedium Coupe concept will also be seen for the first time in Europe
  • Full Genesis range will be on display at the Genesis stand, including recently launched all-electric GV60

London UK: Genesis Motor Europe has revealed that the Electrified GV70 SUV will be seen for the first time in Europe at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, while the high performance X Speedium Coupe Concept will also make its debut.

The eagerly awaited Electrified GV70 SUV will be on show at the Genesis stand and is the third new electric car from the brand in the space of a year. Featuring cutting edge technology and unrivalled luxury, refinement and versatility, Electrified GV70 made its global debut at the Guangzhou International Auto Exhibition in China late last year and is the second pure electric SUV from Genesis following on from launch of GV60 earlier this year. An all-electric version of the popular G80 saloon, the Electrified G80, will also launch later this year.

Electrified GV70 SUV will be joined at the festival by the spectacular Genesis X Speedium Coupe Concept, which makes its first public appearance since its stunning global unveiling at Genesis House in New York, USA, last month. A bold evolution of the brand’s trademark ‘Athletic Elegance’ design philosophy, X Speedium Coupe Concept is inspired by the passion for motorsports felt by Genesis designers and their belief that the emotional value of driving will remain strong in the era of electrification. This dynamic concept will give show-goers an exclusive glimpse into the future of Genesis electric vehicles.

Alongside these two exciting debuts, the Genesis stand will also be displaying its range of cars, including the GV60, G70 Shooting Brake, G80 and GV80 SUV. Furthermore, the Genesis line-up will be in action on the famous hillclimb, taking part in the dynamic demonstrations over the four days.

This will be the second year Genesis has attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed, following on from its successful debut in 2021, and comes shortly after announcing it has extended its role as official partner to the world renowned event for the next three years.

Dominique Boesch, Managing Director for Genesis Motor Europe, said: ‘We are very excited to be revealing both Electrified GV70 and the X Speedium Coupe Concept for the first time in Europe. Both cars represent our firm commitment to establish ourselves as a completely zero emissions brand by 2030, and we can’t wait to share them and the wider Genesis family with visitors to the highly prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed.”

Since making its debut in Europe last May, Genesis has launched seven new models, including elegant and dynamic luxury SUVs and saloons, including three pure EV models.

From 2025, Genesis will launch only pure electric vehicles and is committed to becoming a carbon net zero brand by 2035.
