Frankfurt, Germany, 21 July 2023: Today, Genesis GV60 has been named best Small Premium SUV in the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study in its first year of eligibility.
J.D. Power is well known both in the US and Europe as one of the most reputable sources of unbiased surveying. Unlike other assessments, the APEAL Study takes on a more customer-focused tone as it examines new car owners personal experiences of their car after the first 90 days of ownership. The study includes ratings in design, performance, safety, usability and comfort alongside other key metrics with Genesis’ success in the US study not only reflecting the outstanding quality of the brand and but also that of GV60 too.
Notably, this is not Genesis’s first time being recognised by the prestigious U.S. rankings body either. In 2021, the same year as GV60’s debut as the brand’s first all-electric model, Genesis ranked highest overall in J.D. Power’s Tech Experience Study, securing the title with the brand’s offering of leading advanced technologies across its product range.
The latest GV60 features the world’s first application of facial recognition technology with Face Connect, allowing owners keyless access and start of their vehicle purely through face recognition unlocking systems and biometric technology. In addition, the Genesis Crystal Sphere was another industry leading feature exclusive to GV60, allowing the driver to further connect with and personalise their driving experience.
Moreover, GV60 embodies the Genesis design language of ‘Athletic Elegance’ and ‘Beauty of White Space’ in its interior features. These features incorporate more eco-friendly and recycled materials with leading technology and safety features for the owner’s maximum benefit.
